It’s time for another Kitstarter update — and this one is focused mainly on improving the Bricks experience.
We’ve made big changes under the hood, added new layouts, improved reusable components, and continued working on future integrations for AI, Elementor V4, and Etch Builder.
Bricks Builder System Update

We’ve completely reworked the Kitstarter framework for Bricks to make layouts cleaner, easier to customize, and more scalable.
Previously, Kitstarter used over 160 variables. With this update, we’ve simplified the system down to around 60 variables while keeping the flexibility needed for real projects.
This makes the entire setup easier to understand, easier to manage, and much faster to adapt to different brand styles.

What changed
Heading sizes, text sizes, and spacing are now fully fluid and responsive.
This means layouts adapt more naturally across desktop, tablet, and mobile — without needing as many manual adjustments.
We also updated the system to better align with the latest Bricks Builder features, including its newer approach to color palettes, spacing, typography, and global design settings.
Now users can more easily adjust:
- Brand color palettes
- Fluid spacing
- Typography scale
- Global layout styling
- Responsive behavior
The result is a cleaner, more flexible foundation for building branded websites with Kitstarter and Bricks.
New Bricks Layouts
We’ve also expanded the Bricks layout library so it now matches the Elementor version much more closely.
New categories are now available for Bricks:
- Login Pages — 8 layouts
- Signup Pages — 10 layouts
- Single Blog Layouts — 11 layouts

We also made more existing sections compatible with Bricks:
- Feature Sections 288 and 289
- Hero Header 69
- Hero Header 70
- Hero Header 71
- Hero Header 72
- Hero Header 73
- Hero Header 74
- Hero Header 75
- Hero Header 76
These layouts are now better optimized for custom brand styles, making it easier to import, adjust, and reuse them across different client projects.
Reusable Blog Card Components
Blog cards have also been improved.
Instead of treating each card as a completely separate design, we rebuilt them as reusable components with multiple design variations based on a single card structure.
This makes it easier to maintain consistency across blog layouts while still giving you enough flexibility to create different visual styles.
Improved Bricks Form Styling
We also extended the design system for Bricks forms.
Native radio buttons and checkboxes in Bricks are quite simple by default, so we added a custom form styling layer directly inside the Bricks Style Kit.

This gives form elements a cleaner, more polished appearance while keeping them fully connected to the brand system.
The update includes custom styling for:
- Radio buttons
- Checkboxes
- Focus states
- Hover states
- Disabled states
- Form field interaction states
All form controls are now powered by design variables, so they automatically follow the selected brand colors, spacing, radius, and interaction styles.
This makes forms feel much more consistent with the rest of the layout instead of looking like default browser inputs.
Important Compatibility Note
Because the variable system has changed significantly, we recommend using the new Bricks layouts mainly on new websites.
If you import updated layouts into older projects, some visual differences or styling inconsistencies may appear due to the new variable structure.
AI / MCP Connector
We’re also working on an MCP connector for AI tools such as Claude and Codex.
The goal is to allow AI assistants to access the Kitstarter library and help with importing, editing, and adapting layouts directly inside your workflow.
This is part of a bigger direction for Kitstarter: making layout libraries easier to use not only manually, but also with AI-powered website building workflows.
Elementor V4 Update
We’re actively following the development of Elementor V4 and are excited to start building Kitstarter layouts for the new version.
Elementor V4 introduces a class-based system similar to Bricks Builder, which is a great direction for more scalable design systems.
However, there are still some current limitations.
At the moment, Elementor V4 has a class limit of around 1,000 classes. For comparison, our Bricks library currently uses more than 9,000 classes across all layouts.
Because of this, we’re exploring the best possible approach to develop Kitstarter layouts for Elementor V4 in a scalable, reliable, and future-proof way.
Sneak Peek: Kitstarter Framework for Elementor
We’re also preparing a new Elementor plugin called Kitstarter Framework.
The goal is to bring a more structured design system workflow into Elementor, while keeping everything simple and easy to manage.
With Kitstarter Framework, users will be able to generate and manage key design foundations directly inside Elementor.
Color Palettes
Generate and manage brand color palettes that can be used across your Elementor website.
Fluid Spacing
Create responsive spacing values that adapt naturally across different screen sizes.
Typography System
Set up a more consistent font system with scalable typography for headings and text.
Utility Classes
Generate utility classes that sync with Elementor and help keep layouts cleaner, more reusable, and easier to maintain.
The goal is to help Elementor users build with a more consistent design system, without making the workflow complicated.
Etch Builder Update
We’ve also been actively working on a new Kitstarter plugin for Etch Builder.
Similar to our Elementor integration, this plugin will allow users to browse the Kitstarter library and import layouts directly into Etch.
An official version is coming very soon.
Planned features
The first version is planned to include:
- Browse the Kitstarter library directly inside Etch
- Import layouts with one click
- Preview layouts before importing
- Rename BEM classes
- Slider builder
- Tabs builder
- Grid builder
We’re continuing to improve Kitstarter across multiple builders and workflows, with the same goal in mind: helping designers and developers build professional, scalable websites faster.
